Szent Korona Lookout Tower
On August 28, 2021, the Szent Korona Lookout Tower and the memorial column of Professor Emeritus György Fekete were inaugurated in Kisgyőr during a ceremonial event.
The lookout tower and the related developments were inaugurated by András Tállai, Deputy Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament, while the memorial column was unveiled by György Vashegyi, President of the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
Located in a stunning natural environment at the southern foot of the Bükk Mountains, Kisgyőr has become known for its wooden sculptures and carvings. The village is often referred to as the “carved village” or the “Mecca of woodcarvers.”
